Jim Les, current head coach at UC-Davis, ran this simple quick hit when he coached at Bradley. It is a simple entry to overload and screen in the defense for a open look. More and more folks are running a simple quick hit at the beginning of the shotclock, a simple quick hit at the end the shotclock, and a zone motion in between.
Diagram 1:
3 pops opposite 1.
1-3 pass to shift defense.
2 spaces to ballside block.
4 screens outside of zone.
Diagram 2:
3-1 pass.
4 screens the top of the zone.
5 screens the bottom of the zone.
2 curls under for pass from 1.
